## Cooling Systems

**Air Conditioning:**
Heat stresses your A/C compressor. Have it serviced if it's not blowing cold. Refrigerant levels should be checked and topped if needed.

**Engine Coolant:**
High temps cause overheating. Ensure your coolant is fresh and at the right level. A clogged radiator or weak fan belt invites trouble.

**Hoses & Belts:**
Heat cracks rubber. Inspect hoses for leaks or soft spots and belts for fraying.

## Tires & Fluids

**Tire Pressure:**
Warm air expands; tire pressure rises in summer. Check cold (before driving). Overinflated tires wear unevenly and reduce grip.

**Oil:**
Summer heat thins oil. Switch to a slightly heavier grade if recommended in your manual.

**Transmission & Power Steering Fluid:**
Both suffer in extreme heat. Have them topped off.

## Battery & Lights

Heat shortens battery life. Have yours tested. Check all lights for function.

**Next step:** Call our Service Department at (219) 250-9487 to get a full summer tune-up and safety check before you hit the road.
